After months of building up the suspense post, Marvel Studios revealed its Phase 4 film slate at the San Diego Comic-con. And we’ve compiled all the thrilling, shocking and interesting details, so here’s everything you need to know about every upcoming Marvel movies in the next few years.

1. Black Widow

Release Date– 1st May 2020
Starring– Scarlett Johanson, David Harbour. Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Rachel Weisz
Scarlett Johanson’s character, the lack Widow finally gets her much deserved movie; never before has an announcement drawn so much love for Marvel.
Black Widow met her demise in the film Avengers: Endgame. While this movie will be set in the past, Marvel is still sitting on the timeline. With a script from Jac Schaeffer and Cate Shotland as director, it’s sure to have some Natasha style action, sassy humour and reveal some interesting details about our favourite female Avenger’s past.
2. Eternals

Release Date– 6th November 2020
Starring– Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek
Introducing new cast members and new characters, November 2020 will see a film based on the Jack Kirby Eternals comic book directed by Chloe Zhao.
The Eternals according to the comic book, are a race of celestial creatures that have superpowers and extra strength. Why does that sound familiar? Oh, Thanos.
Will this be another Thanos like war? Who knows. But we’ll definitely get to see Angeline Jolie battling the evil havoc-wrecking Eternals, also known as Deviants.
3. Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings

Release Date– February 12, 2021
Starring– Awkwafina, Simu Liu, Tony Chiu-Wai Leung
This one also stars the Mandarin from Iron Man 3. Deep roots, a complicated and sure to be exciting plot, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings fits perfectly into the Marvel universe.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, this film is about the master of Kung-fu, Shang Chi. In the comics, he learns that his father is an immortal villain and then uses his martial arts to stop him and fight any other evil.
But in the movie, his father could easily be the ‘real Mandarin’. Either way, China’s Kungfu and Marvel’s space universe is sure to be an interesting combination. It’s one of the upcoming marvel movies.

4. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness

Release date– May 7, 2021
Starring– Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Oslon
Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring a combination of two unlikely superheroes- Doctor Strange and Scarlet WItch in a joint adventure, Doctor Strange’s sequel is a much awaited film.
The film will take forward the events of Disney’s WandaVision series while being the first “scary MCU film” with horror and goth, but also keeping intact the Marvel humour and magic that we love.
5. Thor: Love and Thunder

Release date– November 5, 2021
Starring– Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman
The fourth movie of the loved Thor saga will be written and directed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. The film will see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as Odinson, and Natalie Portman as the new Thor, following the events of Endgame.
It will also feature Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and probably Loki in some form as Thor deals with the loss of his power. And it should set the stage for whether or not Chris Hemsworth will be a part of Guardians of The Galaxy 3.
6. Blade

Release date– To Be Announced
Starring– Mahershala Ali
Keep in mind that this is Phase 5 which means more details will probably be released at the next comicon. But Marvel dropped a nice surprise with Mahershala Ali at the SD Comic Con and we know that this daywalker movie is definitely coming.
