Electric forest festival is music festival held every year in the month of June end or early July at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan, United States.
It is one of the most loved 4-day music festivals which is not limited to one genre but mainly focuses on electronic and jam bands.

History Of Electric Forest Festival
It was founded by Insomniac Events in the year 2008 with the original name being Rothbury Festival.
The three days event which was held from July 3 to July 6 donated $60,404 to Grant township.
Many big bands were seen in the launch year of the event, The String Cheese Incident, Phish, Grateful Dead, Kyle Hollingsworth being few of them.
The second year of the festival faced a few hurdles related to ownership and potential sale of the ground but it finally made it and was organized from July 2 to July 5 and showed a good amount of use of sustainable technologies.
The third edition of the Rothbury Festival did not happen in 2010 due to certain problems related to the artist’s schedule which led to the postponing of the event to 2011, from June 30 to July 3 and got renamed as “Electric Forest Festival”. The main odium stage was replaced by the Ranch Arena. Several famous artists and bands left no stone unturned to make the festival a memorable one.
ELECTRIC FOREST FESTIVAL 2018
The recent edition was organized at Double JJ Resort, Michigan, United States which expanded to two weekends, June 21st-24th and June 28th-July 1st, and was nothing less than grand full of crazy and super powerful performances. The first weekend was power packed, credits to Campelphat, Billy Kenny, Fisher, Moody Good and several names.
The highlights of the second weekend were Mau4trap, Desert Hearts and Soulection, Bassrush.
Bonobo, Chromeo, Cut Copy Marian Hill, Louis The Child, Gryffin, Malla, The Glitch Mob and Xavier Rudd performed on both the weekends. More than 45,000 attendees were reported to witness this mega music festival in 2018.
ELECTRIC FOREST FESTIVAL 2019
This year the electric forest festival is scheduled to be held from 27th June to 30th June at Double JJ Resort, Michigan, United States.
Apart from returning back to the one-weekend event, this edition of the festival also has a creation of Sherwood Forest Conservation plan which promises sustainable use of the special place and ensuring it to be used for several years to come. 2019 also has the addition of new camping options including GA camping and The Good Life Village.

The String Cheese Incident will be celebrating their 225th anniversary and will perform three distinct incidents ODESZA (on Thursday), KYGO (on Friday), BASSNECTAR (on Saturday) and ZEDS DEAD (on Sunday). More than 100 artists both established and the emerging ones are going to perform for the 9th edition of the festival.

7. GRYFFIN
His special talents include blending of genres together with live instruments along with electronic fused beats.

9. GET REAL
It’s the project of Green Velvet with one of the most epic DJ duos Claude Von Stroke.
10. MIKEY LION
He is one of the heads of a unique crew who makes an appearance in all his performance with fur coats, steampunk top hats and goggles. The uber cool artist he is!

ELECTRIC FOREST FESTIVAL AGE LIMIT
The legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who has reached the age of minimum 18 years are allowed at the forest.
In order to get an entry, the individual must have booked a valid ticket and at the time of entry must have an intact wristband. Failure to produce untampered wristband at the entry gate in spite of having booked a ticket does not permit the person entry to the festival.
