Previously known as Heineken Balaton Sound between its launch Year 2007 to 2012, got renamed as MasterCard Balaton Sound in 2013 (credits to the sponsors) is one of Europe’s largest electronic music festival, organized for four days on the southern bank of Lake Balaton, Hungary (and so is the name!)

DOWN THE MEMORY LANE
Balaton Festival was launched in 2007 by organizers of Sziget Festival and was held from 12th July to 15th July. The location, time of the year and the artist line up helped the festival to attract a large number of crowd, the number which keeps on increasing every year.
The number of attendants went from 88,000 in 2008 to 94,000 in 2009, which later on in 2012 became the second largest festival in Hungary.
The festival area consists of multiple stages set up for performances and offers comfortable and entertaining stay to the attendants with facilities likes pubs, hammocks, cocktail bars etc.
BALATON SOUND 2019

This mega music festival has become a part of the wishlist of almost every music lover and has made Hungary one of the most favorite summer destinations.
The 13th edition of Balaton Sound is knocking at our doors already, scheduled from 3rd to 7th July 2019 will be held at Zamardi, Hungary.
Artists of genres Electronic music, Pop, Hip Hop, World Music, New wave music, Neo soul will be performing at nine different stages set up in the arena of the festival.

5th July 2019, Friday- The Chainsmokers, Timmy Trumpet, Nicky Romero, Dubfire, Denzel Curry, Sam Feldt (live), Buddy and Missio.
6th July 2019, Saturday- Sean Paul, Armin Van Buuren, Deorro, Vinai, Hernan Cattaneo, Martin Jensen, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Desiigner, MadeinTYO and Youngr.
7th July 2019, Sunday- DJ Snake, G-Eazy, Rudimental (live), KSHMR, Gryffin and Yxng Bane
According to the recent release 131 will play at the upcoming edition of Balaton sound which includes artist from various genres.

BALATON SOUND TICKETS

Owing to the increase in craze of the Balaton Festival, the ticket gets sold out pretty fast during the pre-booking period.
Various types of general and VIP ticket options are available along with different packages which allow additional benefits apart from entry to the festival area. The various types of ticket options available are:

*Wednesday day ticket (3rd July)/Thursday day ticket (4th july)/ Friday day ticket (5th july)/ Saturday day ticket (6th July)/Sunday day ticket (7th July)- Rs 5919.68 –general access to the festival on the one respective day.
Visitors also get the option of upgrading their ticket under Upgrade Ticket (4 days to 5 days) which costs Rs 3699.80 additional.

BALATON SOUND RULES:
- Damaged wristbands are considered invalid and entry is then not allowed
- Wristbands are non-transferable, only the one on whose name it is issued can wear it
- Camping vouchers get exchanged with a wristband at the box office
- Kids under the age of 11 have the privilege of free entry
- Younger visitors, under the age of 14 need to have an adult with them who takes their responsibility.
- Tickets are non-refundable, no amount of money will be returned on cancellation however ticket swap option is available on TicketSwap where one can buy and sell E-tickets conveniently.
- Peaceful Pets are welcomed to the festival along with their owners.
